I believe in setting worthwhile goals and trying to use whatever abilities God has blessed me with to do good things. I like to write, and I hope something here will benefit you in some way.
In the book “7 Habits of Highly Effective People,” Dr. Stephen R. Covey recommends we each have a personal mission statement. I recently wrote my own, and though I am far from reaching my goals, going through the exercise and having them written down informs how I go about each day. Goals in my mission statement include striving to follow the Savior, which means developing charity and treating people with love and respect.
The most important roles for me are family-related – husband, father, son, grandson, brother, uncle. Genuine friendship is also important to me. I also try to be involved in work that strengthens communities and promotes cooperation in industry and government through strong communications. I believe that in our daily relationships is where we can practice the Savior’s teachings.
I want to share what I learn as I try to achieve my life’s goals and share what I know to be true often, and my hope is this platform can be one way for me to do so.
